How to Make
- Use the French knitting guide and cast on and knit five rows in your colour choice.
- Tie on the second colour choice and knit five rows.
- Repeat until you have six coloured stripes, then cast off your knitting.
- Use a needle to pull your loose ends inside the snake to hide them.
- Cut a piece of red wool roughly 10cms long and tie it to the snake’s head in the middle. Then make some knots, leaving two short pieces loose to make the snake’s fork tongue.
- Stick on the snake’s eyes to finish your bookmark.
Top Tip
Tuck your loose ends inside the snake as you knit.
